ROTARY UNIONS AND MECHANICAL SEALS [FILTON]
Precision does not accept compromises, which is why MA Scope International is the exclusive agent for FILTON in Australasia. FILTON are renowned for their state of the art Rotary Unions and Mechanical Seals. FILTON Rotary Unions are self-contained and self-supporting rotary seals used to transfer fluids such as steam, water air or oil, to and from rotating machinery. Standard units are of steel and iron construction with specials available in, for example, stainless steel and nickel alloys for chemically aggressive fluids or food quality applications. It's not only hardness that makes us strong.
The responsibility we take for your minimum downtime is reflected by our performance in manufacturing your precision parts using renowned high-quality material. Each incoming part is metallurgically checked and cleared. FILTON offer various nitralloy and high-grade steels, fully through-hardened as well as highly durable PM-composite materials. Our portfolio offers the right materials combination for each and every demand. Our solutions are as specific as your wear problem! Wear in extruder technology is as diverse as the products that are manufactured with extruder screws. No matter what your individual demands, our decades of practical experience from very specific wear know-how, combined with well-established, competent consulting services, assist you in the selection of parts and material combinations.

Standard units are of steel and iron construction with specials available in, for example, stainless steel and nickel alloys for chemically aggressive fluids or food quality applications. The range of standard models in three basic types for single or dual flow are available with a choice of ball bearings for temperatures up to 160 degrees Celsius and with plain cylindrical carbon bearings for temperatures of 100 degrees Celsius up to 300 degrees Celsius. Pressure range is 70 bar with rotational speeds up to 5000 rpm. In many instances it is possible to exceed these conditions after first consulting the Filton technical department for advice. 2" REB/ST Rotary Union This Rotary Union is fitted with an adaptor suitable for double flow with a stationary centre tube. This provides flow areas through the centre tube and annulus. The centre tube is fixed to the Rotary Union by the means of a screw thread. Flow can pass in through the centre tube and return through the annulus or be reversed. PB/ST Rotary Union This Rotary Union is fitted with an elbow suitable for double flow with a stationary centre tube. This provides flow areas through the centre tube and annulus. The centre tube is fixed to the Rotary Union by the means of a screw thread. Flow can pass in through the centre tube and return through the annulus or be reversed.
